Welcome to Stafford Singers
We’re pleased that you are interested in finding out about Stafford Singers.
We are a long established, friendly and enthusiastic choir who meet weekly to enjoy singing and a bit of socialising during our tea-break.
The choir rehearses on Monday evenings (7.30 to 9.30) at Berkswich Methodist Church Hall from September until early June.
Our choir numbers about 50 members, covering soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts with a male/female split of approximately 2:5. We do not require any auditions to join and an ability to read music is not essential.
Stafford Singers' repertoire is wide-ranging including pop, folk, swing, spiritual, show-stoppers, religious and secular part-songs, all for mixed voices.
We perform a few concerts each year at the request of charities and have close links with the Stafford Orchestra with whom we host a Christmas concert which includes well loved carols for audience participation.
Stafford Singers is run by a committee which is elected at an Annual General Meeting normally held towards the end of our season and we arrange a few social events throughout the year. New members are always welcome: please contact our secretary via phone or email staffordsingers@gmail.com
